I purchassed Iwata lph 400 and need some help getting it set up i guess.
a few questions i have is

1 - how much pressure at the tank i should be set at
2 - How much pressure at the gun regulator should be at
3 - does hose size matter to much ?

What iam using the gun for is spraying activator (water like consistency) on to film that is floating on water. Iam hoping the gun will perfom well for this since it seems to be the best gun that i have read on at the lowest psi.

I will also be using the gun to clear coat if it performs well for me

Hello Jack,
Thank you for the question and the purchase of Anest Iwata.
Lets start with - Q-3 Yes, depending on the length and the inside diameter.
Q's 1 and 2 If you plan to control the inlet pressure at the gun then tank pressure can be set at 100 PSI
For starters set the inlet pressure at the gun at 16 PSI. This setting should be made with the trigger in the full back position and with air flowing through the gun.
Because you'll be spraying 2 different material types and viscosities - you'll need 2 different starter settings. Give me the fluid nozzle size thats in your LPH400LV and the spraying viscosity of the clear and if you'd like I'll give you suggested starter settings for each,
Cheers,
